The second season of digital training and mentorship program, RaptorKids, has started amid enthusiasm among participants, parents and facilitators.
The kids who were excited learning how to develop digital platforms showed their eagerness through questioning and engaging the facilitators for explanation.
RaptorKids is targeted at kids from ages 10 and 15 years. The training covers three main digital areas: Coding (HTML & CSS), App development and Game development.
The training, which started last Saturday June 16, 2018, will end in November with a hackathon.
The kids before the training expressed their curiosity and told organizers they were eager to learn how a website is developed, how an App is built and how a game is build so they can build something of their own.
The same energy was carried throughout the training. After the day one training, most of them were still glued to their PCs and building on what they had learnt.
At the end of the training, each kid is expected to develop either a website, an App or a game to be showcased at the hackathon rewards given for innovation, originality and responsiveness. The participants will be enrolled into our RaptorKids alumni.
Apps and Games that pass the global test will be launched unto global digital platforms such as Apple Store and Play Store.
