Incubator Programs
Objective: ‘To develop businesses from ideation to the first stages of startup’.
Tentmaker provides business incubation programs for entrepreneurs interested in building globally sustainable business or brand. Our business incubation programs are organised on planned schedules every year for an average session of six months (check details on specific program).
Being part of our mission, the business incubation session is carefully put together in accordance with contemporary global trend with the view of developing ‘global solution driven entrepreneurs‘. The activities are planned to expose participants to global opportunities and resources. The key objective of our business incubation programs is to build stimulate economic viable innovation with the capacity for sustainability and scalability.
Trainings/Activities:
- YouthGem for idea to early stage young entrepreneurs/innovators (ages 18 to 30 years).
- Spectacle idea to early stage student entrepreneurs.
- Loop idea to early stage sector specific businesses (Organised on need base).
- LED idea to early stage general session.
- FEB idea to early stage female led innovation/businesses (Funded projects)
Target Audience: Youth, Female, Students, all sector & gender entrepreneurs.
Area of Support: Leadership & Organisational Psychology, Mentoring, trainings, workshops, peer learning and setting up systems, structures, registrations…
Accelerator (Business Support) Programs
Objective: ‘Support Small Growing & Medium sized Businesses (SGMBs) to scale and sustain‘.
One of the fundamental drive of Tentmaker is our quest to support and provide the platform for building globally sustainable businesses and brands of African origin. Across the continent of Africa, the businesses created by Africans are 90%+ first generational; meaning the founders are still alive and actively or passively involved in the operations. Though this could mean the rise of an innovative generation, it also call to question the whereabout of the African businesses built in the past.
Our Accelerator program is aimed at helping scale the many lifestyle businesses into globally sustainable brands. We want to see, in the next 200 years businesses started today.
Trainings/Activities:
1. Enterprise: Workshops & Supports for systems and structures eg. is our Cap2Scale program.
2. Digital: Workshops & Supports for digital leverage eg are our ‘Social Media Marketing‘, ‘Digital Skills for Employment; and ‘Digital Sales Funnel‘ programs
3. Financial Management: Supports and workshops on book keeping, financial management, fundraising & Investment programs. Example of programs are TMLightroom and Financial Management for Startup
4. Funded Accelerator Program: Such as our Government, Developmental Agencies, Organisations and Specific funded accelerator workshop such as the Government of Ghana NEIP business Support program among others.

Co-Working Space
Objective: ‘Creation of private and co- working space/offices for startup & small business’
We have noticed that rent cost is one of the major cost burdens for entrepreneurs and startups. How to get and affordable space with the atmosphere for innovation, peer learning and the entrepreneurship feel. In Ghana, user are saddled with the payment of an average of 2 years minimum and sometimes 5years rent advance to be able to rent a space for work and still manage the facility in terms of recurring costs such as utilities, internet, sanitation among others.
At Tentmaker, we seek to take off this initial financial burden and the office management from these early and growing businesses while giving them the atmosphere suitable to build their businesses. Our rent policy* has a minimum of 3months (to take the burden of monthly payment) and maximum of 6months (to spare more funds for operations) for our regular users.
Spaces:
1. Pay-as-you-go (PAYO): Periodic working space usage where users pay for the hours they intend to use our facilities for.
2. Hot Desk (HD): Bundled benefit working space where users rent a dedicated desk with storage in an open space.
3. Shared Office (SO): Workstation offices shared. Our ‘SO’ is good for startup or business with a team of two to four.
4. Private (BOSS): Dedicated office space for SGMBs who need space for business who need privacy to work and engage clients or associates. 5. Conference/Training Facilities: Space for conference & training suitable for freelance conference organisers and trainers.

Community Engagement
Objective: ‘Networking Session leveraging Key Partners for growth’
At Tentmaker we ride on the community model, where we build connectivity among interest group of similar drive to engage for the best innovation.
Tentmaker Hub Community Engagement is a Monthly interactive session where our Community of Entrepreneurs meets with Investors, Professionals and other Key Partners to discuss topical issues and network. It is a session that affords our Entrepreneurs the opportunity to expand their network, compare best practices approaches and engage key partners of diverse resources.
We engage on relevant topics aimed at enhancing the growth potential of our Community and engage seasoned resources to discuss. If you are an Innovator seeking a place in the global market, an investor seeking an opportunity or a student trying to find your feet in the ecosystem, this is a session you will want to participate at all times.
